Fresh Alaskan Halibut Cheeks

Alaskan Halibut Cheeks are a prized cut known for their tender texture and mild flavor. Their small size and delicate meat make them excellent for quick cooking methods such as pan-searing and sautéing.

What Do Halibut Cheeks Taste Like?

Halibut Cheeks have a mild, slightly sweet flavor with a tender texture.

They pair beautifully with butter, lemon, garlic, fresh herbs, ginger, vegetables, and light sauces.

How to Cook Halibut Cheeks

Halibut Cheeks can be pan-seared, sautéed, baked, or prepared using many of the same methods you would use for scallops.

Because individual cheeks may vary in size and thickness, cooking time will vary.

Fresh vs. Previously Frozen

Halibut Cheeks are seasonal. Availability as fresh or previously frozen may change throughout the year.

Check the current Product Description and options above for availability when ordering.

Halibut Cheeks

Amazing. Loved them poached with butter, paprika, and lemon. Served with blanched spinach and risotto. Delicious and fresh!

A more subtle take on halibut

Excellent - an almost sweet quality to the fish. Your online recipes work well, too. We thoroughly enjoyed these!

Best of the best

If you've had halibut cheeks, you know they are always special. The best part of the halibut. The cheeks I ordered from Pure Food Fish Market were the best of the best. Fresh, fragrant, sweet.
